Ecological: it cuts CO2 emissions by between 20% and 25% compared with petrol and emits no sulphur oxides or lead. It is already used as a fuel by more than four million vehicles worldwide.
Economical: prices are generally competitive and lower than for petrol or diesel. And a range of tax incentives are available to owners of a CNG vehicle.
Safe: CNG is lighter than air and dissipates rapidly in the event of a leak without forming an explosive layer or flammable pool. There are no restrictions on access to underground car parks. All Citroën CNG vehicles are approved and fitted with state-of-the-art safety systems.
