MICRO-HYBRID e-HDi

The Citroën C4 Picasso's are models of environmental efficiency. Our e-HDi micro-hybrid technology combines an HDi engine with a new-generation Stop&Start system and a system to recover energy during deceleration. It helps you limit your fuel consumption and reduce CO2 emissions without any trade-off in performance. Whenever you stop, the engine simply cuts out. As soon as you release the brake pedal, the engine starts up instantly and automatically, without any further action by you.

PETROL TECHNOLOGY

The Citroën C4 Picasso offers a choice of two advanced technology petrol engines: direct fuel injection and turbocharger (THP 155), with multi-valve cylinder heads and better fuel intake management that reduces fuel consumption and CO2 emissions.

HDI TECHNOLOGY

The HDi engines set the benchmark in their category for CO2 emissions and fuel consumption. Their electronically controlled system optimises the air/fuel mix and significantly reduces pollution.

PARTICULATE FILTER

The HDi engines on the Citroën C4 Picasso are fitted with a particulate filter (DPFS), which traps and burns the particles produced by the engine. This brings the level of particulate emissions from the car to barely measurable levels.

EGS

Our Electronic Gearbox System (EGS) is essentially two gearboxes in one - offering the choice between rapid fingertip manual changes or a smooth automatic change. It means it cuts the levels of CO2 produced to below that of ordinary manuals.
