Thanks to the new modular EMP2 platform and the use of aluminium and other lighter composites; the New Citroën C4 Picasso has shed a full 140kg from the previous model. That means a more compact exterior, roomier interior, and greater road-holding. You’ll notice that the silhouette and profile of the New C4 Picasso has changed from the previous model; not only does it look great, it glides through the air more efficiently - increasing fuel efficiency even further. And thanks to the micro-hybrid e-HDi technology, the e-HDi 90 Airdream ETG6 version of the New Citroën C4 Picasso emits just 98g of CO2 and has a record-breaking fuel consumption 74.3mpg. Emitting from just 104g/km of CO2, the e-HDi 115 also has a limited environmental impact.

Micro-Hybrid e-HDi

The engine technology on-board the New C4 Picasso means you benefit from great driving performance day after day and the peace of mind knowing that you’ve picked a vehicle that’s kinder to the environment. All diesel engines for the New C4 Picasso come with micro-hybrid e-HDi technology and our second generation of Stop & Start technology. This new and exciting technology works much like a simplified hybrid engine. Kinetic energy that is produced when decelerating is converted into electricity - this cuts fuel consumption and CO2 emissions by as much as 15% in an urban driving situations.

Particulate Filter

The levels of particle emissions were already low with our HDi engine, and now the levels emitted with our diesel engines and the particulate filter system (DPFS) are even lower still. The DPFS works to lower negative environmental impact by trapping and burning the particles produced by the engine. The levels emitted with our DPFS diesel engines now drop to barely measurable levels that go beyond current EU environmental standards.

BlueHDi - Best in Class

With its BlueHDi engine, the New Citroën C4 Picasso is the first MPV in its segment to cut CO2 emissions to just 110g/km for engine output of 148 bhp!
This advanced technology is able to:
• filter 99.9% of diesel particulates.
• eliminate 90% of NOx (nitrogen oxide) particulates.
