The Citroën C5 Tourer has an electric tailgate that you can open automatically using the key fob. An anti-pinch function stops the tailgate from closing if it detects something in the way.

You can fold the rear seats forward to free up a generous flat area for loading.  The boot itself is generously sized with:

- maximum width between wheel arches of 1,115mm
- maximum headroom of 851mm
- maximum length (with rear seat folded) of 1,723mm.

Using a button at the side of the boot, you can raise or lower the height of the entire back of the car by up to 6cm (on the Hydractive 3+ version) for easy loading and unloading. As soon as you turn the engine on, it returns to its normal height.

The Citroën C5 Tourer has two types of nets for securing objects; one to hold objects firmly on the floor and one that can be unrolled and placed behind the front or rear seats to stop objects moving into the cabin if you come to a quick stop.

There are also shopping-bag hooks on either side of the boot.

The Citroën C5 Tourer has a roller-blind luggage cover to hide the contents of the boot from prying eyes, giving you extra security.

Alongside the normal boot lighting, you’ll find a built-in removable torch. It will even light your way for up to 45 minutes when removed.
