The Citroën C5 Tourer’s halogen headlamps help you anticipate bends in the road by covering an angle of up to 75° on both sides of the car; helping you to see and to be seen.

At twice the brightness of halogen lights; Xenon Dual-Function Directional headlamps provide exceptional visibility at night and in poor weather conditions. The lights follow the steering angle of your car and reach out to 105° on each side so that you can see the road ahead sooner. There's also daytime running lights to help make you more visible on the road.

On board the Citroën C5 Tourer is an innovative and comprehensive braking system with four large vented disc brakes. The ABS function adjusts braking pressure electronically to stop the wheels locking while Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD) spreads braking power evenly to all four wheels.

The Electronic Stability Programme (ESP) keeps your C5 Tourer stable if it slips when cornering and coupled to a traction control (ASR) system that immediately brakes the drive wheels in the event of skidding they help you keep control even in the most difficult of driving conditions. 

Unique to Citroën; Intelligent Traction Control (ITC) provides grip on slippery surfaces to help your car travel through snow, black ice and rain. ITC analyses factors such as the slope of the road, type of snow and ice, and adjusts the slippage of the right and left wheels accordingly. 

With the Citroën C5 Tourer comes an innovative Lane Departure Warning System (LDWS) to help detect, and limit the impact of drowsiness at the wheel. It monitors any unintentional lane changes at speeds in excess of 50mph and vibrates the driver’s seat on the side of the drift, prompting you to get back on course.

Citroën C5 Tourer's body structure has been designed to soak up impact energy in the event of a collision. Two impact absorbers at the front dissipate energy in an impact and protect the main body of the car while high body stiffness provides class leading protection in any high-speed frontal impact.

The tyre-pressure monitor continuously checks pressure and warns you if it drops too low.
