The 2.2 HDi engine generates a sporty 156hp, and is capable of a top speed of 124 mph. But as well as head-turning performance the Citroën C-Crosser can achieve an excellent 39.2 mpg on a combined cycle for VTR+ models with 16" alloys - possible thanks to factors like the weight saving aluminium roof and on-demand 4x4 system.
Its CO2 emissions are amongst the lowest in its class - from just 191g/km on VTR+ models with 16" alloys - and these world-class ecological credentials are strengthened by the Diesel Particulate Filter System (DPFS) fitted as standard. This clever invention stores up particulates given off by diesel fuel, then burns them off long before they ever get near the atmosphere.
