However you like to drive, there’s a Citroën C4 Coupe for you. Petrol, biofuel or diesel; five or six speed manual, four or six-speed automatic, Electronic Gearbox System (EGS) or six-speed sequential auto-adaptive automatic transmission – the choice is yours. EGS is essentially two gearboxes in one, allowing you rapid, responsive manual changes or seamless automatic changes for smooth cruising – and lower emissions than a standard manual transmission.
All Citroën C4 Coupe engine options achieve impressive fuel economy and low carbon emissions. The nippy 90hp 1.4i 16V petrol engine, for example, is capable of 44.1mpg on a combined cycle and only 153g/km CO2 emissions, so it’s kinder to the environment – and your fuel expenses – than most of its contemporaries. Meanwhile, the 1.6 HDi 16V diesel unit with Diesel Particulate Filter System (DPFS) produces an impressive 110hp and a top speed of 119mph, yet amazingly keeps CO2 emissions down to 120g/km. And it’ll do 62.8mpg on a combined cycle, which, for a car with this much acceleration and power, is almost unheard of.
In line with Citroën’s keen emphasis on safety, ABS with Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD) and Emergency Braking Assistance (EBA) is standard on all Citroën C4 Coupe models. And all feature variable power-assisted steering, for better manoeuvrability at low speed and increased safety and stability on the open road.
