Some MPVs can feel cumbersome and lethargic. Not the C8 - the ride is smooth and quiet, the handling is superb thanks to a well-balanced chassis and traction control, and all engines in the C8 range are responsive, delivering ample power to the front wheels when you require it. Fuel economy and C02 emissions are impressive, too, and many of the diesel engines are fitted with Citroen’s environmentally responsible Diesel Particulate Filter System, which minimises carbon emissions.
Take the 2.0HDi 16V 136hp diesel engine - a top speed of 118 mph and plenty of torque for responsive acceleration, yet it achieves an average 39.8 miles per gallon on a combined cycle.
There’s one petrol and three diesel engines available for the C8, each impressive in terms of performance and fuel economy. Four-speed sequential automatic transmission is standard on the 2.2HDi 16V 173hp engine, so whatever your driving style, there’s a C8 for you.
