Behind the wheel, the word ‘responsive’ really sums up the CITROËN C-Crosser Enterprise. With its powerful engine of 156hp and plenty of torque, mated to a sophisticated chassis, the CITROËN C-Crosser gives road-holding ability that you just wouldn’t expect to find in a 4x4 commercial.
There are three driving modes to suit whatever the weather and road conditions throw at you. In two-wheel drive (2WD) mode, only the front wheels are driven which is perfect for tarmac, guaranteeing high grip on dry roads and great fuel economy. Four-wheel drive (4WD) mode sees the torque split between front and rear axles and it automatically adjusts for the best grip in whatever conditions. And finally, Lock-up mode is similar to 4WD, only with 1.5 times more torque sent to the rear axle – just what you need in snow, sand and mud. Each mode is delivered via a six-speed gearbox and specially designed Michelin tyres.
