Austin Healey Joins Citroën UK As Brand Ambassador For New C5 Aircross SUV
Renowned British sportsman, Austin Healey, has been named as the long-term UK Brand Ambassador for New Citroën C5 Aircross SUV. The announcement has been timed to celebrate the official UK launch of the brand’s flagship model.
Citroën UK is proud to announce that English rugby star and sports commentator, Austin Healey, is the official UK Brand Ambassador for New C5 Aircross SUV. From playing rugby for England, to showing off his moves on Strictly Come Dancing, Austin embodies Citroën’s ‘Be Different, Feel Good’ spirit. On sale in the UK since Monday 4 February, New C5 Aircross SUV will make the perfect partner for Austin with the thousands of miles he travels for work.
On his appointment, Austin Healey commented: “I’ve been a fan of Citroën since I was a young boy, so it is an honour to be able to work with the brand and be the ambassador for New C5 Aircross SUV. With all the challenges of a busy family life, the comfortable and spacious interior, numerous cubby-holes and useful technology will make everything from running the girls between sports practice to travelling up and down the country for work, an absolute pleasure.”
Healey will play an integral part in the UK launch of Citroën’s flagship model, as he supports key brand activities over the coming months, such as participating in various brand events and speaking at dealer meetings.
Citroën is currently enjoying growth in its market share in the UK, following a strategic repositioning in line with its ‘Inspired By You’ brand signature, and a product offensive that has seen the brand launch six new passenger car models in two years.
