Citroën UK Officially Welcomes Drivers of Prestatyn to the Dealer Network
Citroën UK continues to renew its dealer network, welcoming Drivers of Prestatyn into the franchise. Drivers officially opened to Citroën customers in north Wales at the end of 2019. However, the COVID-19 pandemic delayed the inaugural visit of Citroen UK Managing Director, Eurig Druce, to mid-August. In the meantime, a close – albeit distant – working relationship formed during lockdown.
Citroën UK’s dealer network continues to strengthen, thanks to a string of new openings – including the recent appointment of Drivers of Prestatyn in north Wales. Drivers of Prestatyn opened its doors in November 2019, but the COVID-19 pandemic significantly delayed the inaugural visit of Citroën UK Managing Director, Eurig Druce to earlier this month.
Drivers of Prestatyn previously enjoyed a successful partnership with fellow Groupe PSA brand, Peugeot over the last 25 years.
Founded in 1986, Drivers of Prestatyn began working with Groupe PSA in 1995 and has since played a leading role in their local community. Led by Managing Director Mark Edgley, Drivers of Prestatyn saw collaboration with Citroën as a next logical next step for the dealership and their team of highly trained specialists.
Speaking about his team’s work with Citroën, Mark said: “Drivers of Prestatyn is proud to welcome Citroën to the company. We opened the franchise in November last year and we saw keen interest in the brand from the get go. Customers can rest assured that our sales and aftersales teams will deliver the excellent service they expect from both Citroën and Drivers of Prestatyn.”
Drivers of Prestatyn is the latest franchise-holder to join Citroën’s 135 strong UK dealer network. Despite the setbacks due to COVID-19, Citroën dealers are looking forward to welcoming the recently unveiled New C3, C5 Aircross Hybrid, ë-Dispatch van, ë-SpaceTourer MPV, and New Citroën C4 & ë-C4 to the range. New Citroën ë-C4 is the brand’s latest compact hatchback with a 100% electric powertrain.
Built on Groupe PSA’s Common Modular Platform (CMP), New ë-C4 has a WLTP range of up to 217 miles. Available to order in the UK from the autumn of 2020, this will be an exciting next step for Mark Edgley and his team, adding to Drivers of Prestatyn’s existing portfolio of Citroën car and van models available to order from the dealership.
New Citroën ë-C4 just one element of Citroën’s pledge to provide an electrified version of every car and van in its range by 2025.
Eurig Druce, Managing Director of Citroën UK said: “We are all incredibly excited to welcome Drivers of Prestatyn into the Citroën UK dealer network. Mark and his team have a wealth of experience and are already experts in all things Citroën. The success they have had over the past 25 years working with Groupe PSA is testament enough to the hard work and effort Drivers of Prestatyn put in to delivering an outstanding service. We will be supporting them every step of the way and wish all the team good luck.”
To ensure customer safety, Drivers of Prestatyn have gone to great lengths to make their dealership fully compliant with all COVID-19 guidelines. The dealership operates a dedicated one-way system to make sure customers and staff observe social distancing, and there are sanitising stations and stringent cleaning protocols in place. All staff have their temperature taken regularly and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is worn at all times.
