Citroën C4 Picasso's front end takes the force of any impact, its reinforced front doors make the whole body stiffer and the cabin has been designed to stay intact in a collision.

An ABS (Anti-Lock Braking System) function adjusts braking pressure electronically to stop the wheels locking.
Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD) spreads braking power evenly to all four wheels.
Emergency Braking Assistance (EBA) boosts braking power instantly when you brakes hard.
Electronic Stability Program (ESP) keeps the car stable if it slips when cornering.
A traction control system immediately brakes the drive wheels when in a skid.

The Electronic Stability Programme (ESP) adds a further level of security to the already sophisticated, intelligent suspension design. By monitoring progress through a bend, it senses whether oversteer or understeer is developing, modifying engine torque and applying a precise measure of braking for ultimate stability and control.

Unique to Citroën, Intelligent Traction Control (ITC) provides grip on slippery surfaces to help the car travel through snow, black ice and rain. ITC analyses factors such as the slope of the road and the type of snow or ice to adjust the slippage of the right and left wheels separately.
