CITROËN SKATE

Onboard technology designed for inner-city travel

CITROËN'S ELECTRIC FUTURE

Electric motoring is often accused of not being widely accessible, but Citroën takes a different approach. Our ever-expanding electric vehicle (EV) range and technology is inspired by all drivers and their everyday habits.

Changing attitudes in the uk

As the 2030 ban on the sale of new petrol and diesel models approaches, EV market share will increase. But if the switch is to happen across the board, there needs to be a solution for every UK driver – not just those with unlimited budgets.

Our mission, as it has been throughout our history, is to bring mobility to all. This started with the 2 CV and continues today with the Citroën EV range, which will continue to develop over the coming years. From the sleek ë-C4 to the larger ë-SpaceTourer, however, there’s already a number of options available.

Going green

The Citroën AMI, an innovative concept realised, will also be available in the UK from 2022. Only a fraction of the size compared to our other models and with a 43-mile range, the Ami is built for city mobility and short journeys – a growing trend in motoring.

To really ‘go green’ and enable a nationwide switch to electric within the next decade, catering to only a handful of driver types won’t do. Find out more on our current range below:

New Citroën Ami 100% ëlectric

New Citroën Ami 100% ëlectric leads the way in being an innovative, practical, affordable mobility solution for today and tomorrow. It faces up to the challenges of city travel whilst taking into account our environmental responsibilities. It aims to be the low cost electric vehicle enabling more people to take advantage of this technology.

Citroën ë-C4 electric

The new C4 and new ë-C4 electric are shaped on proven designs of the past and the latest trends. As a coupe SUV, it offers a stylish and sleek exterior alongside the raised ride height and visibility that many modern drivers seek.

Both models offer Citroën’s Advanced Comfort tech, while the new ë-C4 electric adds zero-emissions motoring and a range of over 200 miles. A What Car? Car of the Year award for best value is no surprise.

Citroën C5 aircross plug-in hybrid

For those wanting the benefit of both low-emissions travel and the peace of mind that petrol gives, the C5 Aircross Plug-In Hybrid is a winner. An 80kW electric motor offers 34 miles of emissions-free motoring in isolation and can also pair with the 1.6-litre petrol engine for a combined 225hp.

With a 32A wall box, the car can be charged in less than two hours and thanks to the programmable charging, you can take advantage of off-peak electricity rates.

New Citroën C5 x plug-in hybrid

If you’re seeking the elegance of a saloon car, the space of an estate car with the elevated seating position of an SUV, then the New Citroën C5 X Plug-In Hybrid could tick the box. In full electric mode it offers up to 31 miles of emissions-free motoring and can also seamlessly combine with the petrol engine for those longer journeys.

Citroën ë-Berlingo electric

For all those who enjoy an active life and are concerned about the environment, the ë-Berlingo is ideal, practical and versatile choice enabling the whole family to enjoy all their leisure activities with even greater peace of mind.

Citroën ë-Spacetourer electric

If it’s electric motoring on a larger scale you want, the ë-SpaceTourer will provide. Despite its size, it’ll travel up to 143 miles on a single charge, while a 100kW rapid charger will top it up to 80% capacity in only 30 minutes.

And all this in a spacious MPV with room for up to nine. There’s also no compromise on cabin space over the standard SpaceTourer, due to the battery pack’s smart positioning.

A global approach

Our investment in EVs isn’t just a response to the UK’s 2030 ban, however, it forms part of our global drive to make sustainable motoring accessible to all drivers. The Ami, for example, was initially launched for our central European markets, but due to widespread interest and suitability will now be launching in the UK next year.

Innovation goes far beyond just drivers, however. Passengers are also catered for in our vision of the future. Citroën Skate is an autonomous urban travel concept, capable of travelling without any human input and featuring a platform that’s customised with swappable pods.

The initial concept included designs from hotel chain Accor, with a passenger lounge and even a fitness pod offering exercise on the move – but the possibilities go far beyond that. By designing vehicles for passengers as well as drivers, Citroën is tailoring mobility for all.

Improving petrol and diesel

Drivers who aren’t yet ready to make the switch to an all-electric vehicle are also catered for, and they’ll find the same level of attention when dealing with us and our dealership teams. Alongside our expanding EV range, we’re making our internal combustion engines cleaner and more environmentally friendly.

The C5 Aircross Plug-In Hybrid offers the best of both worlds, with a petrol engine and electric motor working in unison for significantly reduced emissions and added peace of mind. The all-electric function is capable of 34 miles on a single charge, too – ideal for short journeys.

A Citroën for everyone
