Experience the very latest in our engine technology; the VTi 68 and VTi 82 engines available now in the New Citroën C3 belong to our PureTech range of petrol engines.  Featuring every advancement we've made in petrol technology for a more pleasant drive, reduced running costs and reduced negative running impact on the environment. When compared with the preceding generation of engines, you'll see that the PureTech engines are equally, if not more, powerful while still slashing fuel consumption and greenhouse gas emissions by around 25%.

The Diesel Particulate Filter System (DPFS) fitted to all our HDi engines in the New Citroën C3 contribute to environmental protection by essentially trapping and burning the particles produced by the engine.
Particulate emissions were already incredibly low with the HDi engine and now with the DPFS, they drop to barely measurable levels.

We designed the New Citroën C3 to be a class-leader when it comes to CO2 emissions; starting at just 87g/km. When fitted with ultra low rolling resistance  Michelin Energy Saver tyres, the fuel consumption is significantly cut and CO2 emissions are reduced by roughly 4grams of CO2 for every kilometre travelled. 

We conducted extensive studies on weight control and how to make the New Citroën C3 lighter in order to maximise fuel consumption and reduce CO2 emissions. The result? A newly designed and improved Citroën C3 with optimised aerodynamics, intelligent management of fuel consumption and no extra weight.
