NEW CITROËN Ë-DISPATCH AND BERLINGO VAN WIN BIG IN THE 2021 WHAT VAN? AWARDS

New Citroën Ë-Dispatch wins top prizes with ‘Van of the Year’ and ‘Electric Van of the Year’ 2021. The multi-award winning Berlingo van is also named ‘Compact Van of the Year’ by the What Van? Awards.

Citroën has won a hat-trick of prestigious titles in the What Van? Awards 2021. New Citroën ë-Dispatch has just taken the top prize as What Van? ‘Van of the Year’ for 2021. New ë-Dispatch was also named ‘Electric Van of the Year’, which is a new category introduced by What Van? this year. This latest pair of What Van? honours continues an impressive run for new Citroën ë-Dispatch, which was recently voted ‘Best Electrified Van’ in the Parkers New Car Awards.

The multi-award winning Citroën Berlingo Van was also a winner, being named ‘Compact Van of the Year’ by the What Van? team. The judges were ultimately won over by the model’s design, range of engine options and practical loading capacity, with up to 1,009kg maximum payload and a load volume of up to 4.4m3.

New ë-Dispatch particularly impressed the What Van? judges with its remarkable zero emissions range of up to 205 miles, and the choice of load volumes and payloads. With a maximum load volume of 6.6m3 and a payload of 1,227kg ë-Dispatch suits all business-user needs.

James Dallas, Editor at What Van?, commented: “The new Citroën ë-Dispatch inherits the refinement and load-carrying capability of its proven Diesel siblings that captured What Van?’s LCV of the Year Award in 2017 and retained the Medium Van prize the following year."

“The electric version is even better to drive and rapid charging, plus a range of more than 200 miles with the larger of two batteries available, should be enough to banish range anxiety and convince growing numbers of operators that switching to the ë-Dispatch is the right choice environmentally, economically and operationally.”

New all-electric Citroën ë-Dispatch is available in three lengths (XS, M and XL) and with two battery options – 50kWh and 75kWh. With a 75kWh battery, Citroën ë-Dispatch achieves a range of up to 205 miles from a single charge. Supporting up to 100kW rapid charging Citroën ë-Dispatch can achieve 80% charge in 30 minutes for 50kWh battery models, and 45 minutes for the 75kWh battery option.

Eurig Druce, Citroën UK’s Managing Director, said: “The What Van? Van of the Year Award is a great honour for new Citroën ë-Dispatch. Our first new-generation electric van is a huge milestone in our ambition to provide a fully electric LCV range by the end of 2021, and it is great to see customers and industry experts recognising the hard work that is going into the development of our models. We would like to thank What Van? for their continued support of our ever-improving range.”
