WHO ARE BAND OF BUILDERS?

Formed in 2016, Band of Builders is a national construction charity, a community of like-minded construction industry volunteers from all sorts of trades and backgrounds, who share the same vision – to provide practical help to other tradespeople in need.

Together they deliver life-enhancing projects for people dealing with life’s most challenging circumstances, and have provided support in all four UK nations.

Their aim is to support members of construction and their families who are faced with life changing conditions, whether that be as a result of illness or injury, by making practical adaptations and renovations to their homes, as well as providing financial and wellbeing support.

Band of Builders members also support each other through their online group. They share highs and lows, form life-long friendships, swap stories and a whole lot of banter!

Band of Builders shows exactly what can be achieved when a bunch of people come together in the spirit of kindness and compassion.

Nothing Moves us Like Citroën

THE PARTNERSHIP - NOTHING MOVES US LIKE CITROËN

At Citroën, we believe in a world that’s accessible for everyone, striving to create a ‘better everyday’.

That’s why we’ve launched our new partnership with Band of Builders, a construction charity dedicated to supporting tradespeople facing life-changing circumstances after illness or injury, by providing practical adaptations to their homes, along with financial and well-being support.

Citroën UK have provided Dispatch vans, helping Band of Builders support and expand its charitable work across the country.

Projects taken on by Band of Builders range from the installation of ramps to improve accessibility, through to full home renovations and landscaping projects to support the needs of beneficiaries.

The Citroën Dispatch vans will allow the charity to transport materials and equipment to sites across the country, and further support the reach of the charity’s work.

THE PARTNERSHIP - CREATING A BETTER EVERYDAY

Band of Builders CEO, Gavin Crane, said: “We are proud to partner with Citroën UK and we are looking forward to taking our fully liveried Band of Builders Dispatch vans on the road to projects, meetings, and events up and down the UK.

“This partnership signifies just how far our charity has come in a few short years – because as well as having an incredible base of dedicated volunteers, businesses like Citroën UK are seeing the work that Band of Builders does and are offering innovative solutions to help.”

Greg Taylor, Citroën UK’s Managing Director, commented: “Band of Builders changes lives up and down the UK – so to be able to support the charity expand its reach is absolutely fantastic. Watch out for the distinctive Dispatch vans when they are out and about in the coming months, helping the whole team make a difference right across the country.”
