The C5 Aircross Hybrid 136 can be driven in electric mode in the city, on the road or during manoeuvres. In the city, this hybrid version can make up to 50% of journeys in 100% electric mode, with zero CO2 emissions and vibration-free.
100% EFFICIENT DRIVE
C5 Aircross Plug-in Hybrid combines a 180 hp PureTech engine with an EAT8 automatic gearbox with an 80 kW electric motor, for combined power of 225 hp.
It delivers torque of 360 Nm, available instantly, ensuring non-stop driving comfort through guaranteed accelerating power at all times.
The 48V HYBRID technology optimises the performance and fuel consumption of the C5 Aircross, average fuel saving of 1 litre/100km (i.e. 15%) compared with the PureTech 130 EAT8 petrol engine. It should be noted that this engine is very efficient in urban driving conditions with an average fuel saving of almost 30%.
EASY CHARGING
The solutions for charging C5 Aircross Plug-in Hybrid are simple, practical and varied.
The fastest way to charge is by using a Wall Box. With a mode 3 cable (optional), you can charge your vehicle from 0% to 100% in under 2 hours with the optional in-car 7.4 kW charger.
For optimal use, we recommend that you charge your C5 Aircross Plug-in Hybrid every day.
As the battery recharges automatically when the car decelerates, this new engine makes daily use more comfortable and will appeal to customers who want to experience electric drives without the need to recharge.

C5 AIRCROSS HYBRID
This innovative and brand-new hybrid technology combines a new-generation 136 PureTech petrol engine and a 21 kW electric motor, with a 48V hybrid system - delivering power through a brand new 6-speed Dual Clutch Transmission for a super-smooth drive. With this new hybrid engine, take advantage of this electrified alternative which allows you to benefit from short periods of electric-only driving (up to 0.6 miles), working seamlessly with the petrol engine to deliver up to 50% electric driving in an urban environment. As a result, C5 Aircross Hybrid helps to save fuel and reduce CO2 emissions.
Ë-COMFORT OF THE PLUG-IN HYBRID
C5 Aircross Plug-in Hybrid allows 100% electric driving for journeys of up to 41 miles (WLTP EAER Combined) thanks to its 80 kW motor. Meanwhile, the PureTech 180 Stop & Start petrol engine takes over for longer journeys.
The ë-EAT8 electrified 8-speed automatic gearbox optimises gear shifts for an even smoother and enjoyable driving experience. It features two regenerative braking modes: Drive (position D) and Brake (position B). The latter, more dynamic, boosts the recovery of energy available when braking and decelerating.
The driving mode selector is located on the central console of 5 Aircross Plug-in Hybrid. You have the choice between 3 modes:
Electric: C5 Aircross Plug-in Hybrid operates has an electric range of up to 41 miles (WLTP EAER Combined).
Hybrid: The vehicle manages the electric motor and petrol engine automatically for optimum efficiency.
Sport: Optimises performance using the electric motor, which boosts the petrol engine for combined power of 225 hp and torque of 360 Nm.
CHARGING METHODS
Simple and practical
Citroën C5 Aircross Plug-in Hybrid is extremely simple to charge:
The charging flap, located in the left rear wing of the car, includes an LED indicator to track the charging process, which can also be viewed remotely on the MyCitroën app.
Charging can be programmed from the touchscreen or the MyCitroën app, to take advantage of off-peak electricity tariffs where available.
The cable is stored in a dedicated space under the boot floor.
Wall Box & Public Charge Points - Thanks to its 7.4kW on- board charger, the C5 Aircross Plug-in Hybrid can be fully charged in under 2 hours using the supplied Type 2 charging cable and a 32A charge point. C5 Aircross Hybrid and Plug-in Hybrid features special screens for electric mode driving:
The digital display shows the charging status and battery life and provides access to the power indicator and energy flows.
The 10" touchscreen displays the system’s operating status, the settings for deferred battery charging, pre-heating and the e-save function, which lets you keep enough battery power to drive a predefined distance in 100% electric mode, depending on the hybrid version chosen.

Via your smartphone with the MyCitroën app, you can check the battery charge and remaining range of your C5 Aircross Plug-in Hybrid as well as schedule daily charging and pre-conditioning.

To make sure you benefit from 100% electric driving more of the time, we recommend that you charge your New C5 Aircross Plug-In Hybrid every day. You can even schedule charging for certain times, for example if you have an energy tariff with off-peak hours.
The fastest way to charge is with a home charging point or ‘wall box’. Using a 32A wall box and the Type 2 Mode 3 cable supplied with your car, you can charge the battery fully in under 2 hours thanks to New C5 Aircross Plug-In Hybrid’s standard 7 kW onboard charger. This cable is also compatible with many public charging points so you can easily charge your car when you’re out and about.
You can also order a 3-pin domestic charging cable as an accessory for your New C5 Aircross Plug-In Hybrid, allowing you to charge from a standard domestic socket. A full charge takes about 6 hours and as such we suggest this only for occasional charging. We recommend that you consult a qualified electrician to confirm that the domestic circuits that you plan to use are suitable.
100 kW stations are not compatible with New Citroën C5 Aircross Plug-in Hybrid.
